Kinetic Typography and Motion
Brief
DonDon Berlin needed motion support to animate a series of social media reels for BMW's digital campaigns targeting younger audiences on Instagram and Reels. The deliverable: 11 animated pieces across 9:16, 1:1, and 16:9 formats.
The challenge was translating BMW's premium brand language into fast-paced, native short-form video formats without losing the brand's visual standards.

01 Process
Discovery
DonDon provided pre-designed screen artworks and BMW's brand guidelines. My role was clear: animate what the agency had already built, bringing each static composition to life in a way that felt native to each format and platform.
Concept
I developed a kinetic typography approach as the primary motion system using text animation to carry BMW's messaging and hook viewers in the first 2 seconds.
Delivery
11 reels delivered across 9:16 produced in batches of 3 pieces per sprint, distributed across BMW's social channels.
02 Key Creative Decision
For a brand like BMW, the temptation is to let the car visuals carry everything but on social, you lose the viewer before the car even registers.
Text that moves with precision and confidence communicates the brand's character in the first second, before the full composition lands.
That decision kept every reel on-brand and platform-ready simultaneously.
03 Results
- 11 reels delivered across 3 social formats
- Distributed on BMW's Instagram — a channel with 30.6 million followers
- Produced in focused 4-day sprints across multiple months
Working in batches for a premium brand taught me to build a motion logic I could apply consistently across pieces without making them feel repetitive. Each reel had to feel fresh while being unmistakably the same brand.
