Logo animation that follows the logic of the identity

A logo animation is often the first time an identity moves in public. It should feel like the brand, not like a template. I start from the identity's own rules: its shapes, typography and color, and find how they want to move.

I animate logos and brand idents for branding agencies who have just finished an identity and need it to move, and for brands launching or refreshing their look. On Qiddiya that meant logo animations across a whole family of sub-brands; on the M&M's rebrand for JKR it meant animating a fully developed identity while staying true to every rule.

    What you get

    • Logo animation and idents in 2D or 3D
    • Intro, outro and short loop versions
    • Versions for social, web, presentations and screens
    • Files ready to hand over to your client or in-house team

    How I work

    Brief

I study the identity and its guidelines first, so the motion comes from the brand rather than from a preset.

    Styleframes

Key moments of the animation are presented as frames to agree on a direction early.

    Production

Animation in After Effects, with Cinema 4D and Redshift when the logo lives in 3D.

    Delivery

All agreed lengths and formats, exported to the specs of each channel.

    Questions

    Who do you work with?

Mostly branding and design agencies that need a senior motion designer on their team, often white label. I also work directly with brands that have a clear need and someone on their side who owns the brief.

What do you need to start?

Vector files of the logo, the brand guidelines if they exist, and where the animation will be used. That tells me which lengths and formats to plan for.

Can a logo animation grow into a full motion system?

Yes. The logo is usually where the motion language starts. See brand motion guidelines for how it extends to type, transitions and layouts.

Do you work remotely or in Berlin?

Both. I am based in Berlin and work with teams worldwide, remotely by default. Briefings, reviews and calls happen in English, German or Spanish.

    Have a project like this?

Tell me what you're working on. Early ideas are welcome.
